| Guests were treated to a red carpet
arrival at The Kirby Grand Reopening party on September 1, 1999. With the red flags
raised and new canopies installed, "The Old Girl" shone elegantly for her second
debut. |
Approximately 750 guests
attended the party including residents and local and national VIPs. |
 |
 |
| Craig Hall, Chairman of Hall Financial
Group, made the official toast. After making their own comments, Senator Kay Bailey
Hutchison, Ambassador Kathryn Hall and Mayor Ron Kirk joined in raising their glasses. |

Models in historic costumes mingle
with guests, offering historic trivia and prizes through display books, much like the
silent films of The Kirby's era. Pictured with two models here are Brad Oldham and
Kelly Ingram. |
